Neither the UK Government nor any remaining creditors can stop you leaving the UK, although doing so does not absolve you of any debts you still have a duty to pay.
However, you now need to look at the Government websites of the countries to which you wish to go, and if they don't give you the information you need, talk to their consulates.
Incidentally, Australia and Canada I can understand, but why the US, of all places? I can only say, if you go there, don't get sick, and don't get old!
