cani make a decent amout of money per year being a electrical contractor for the home depo or lowes

Get your Electrician's license first, and then your contractor's license for whatever state your in.

They don't have electricians on staff, but they do call on them from time to time. You need to get a job working as an apprentice for at least two years under an existing electrician, take tests, and pass, then pay the licensing fee, insurance, and bond before you can call yourself an electrician.
