Choosing the Correct Electrician For You

Posted by admin On January - 17 - 2009

With many home repairs and renovations turning ugly it is extremely important to take some time to carefully select the right electrician for your needs. A poor choice can be costly and time consuming, while a great electrician can have your project finished in only a matter of time, rather than forcing you to micromanage them. A good electrician might seem extremely hard to find, but there are plenty to choose from if you take some time in your selection.

Can I be an electrician with part 1 electrical installation?

Posted by admin On January - 17 - 2009

I have Part 1 C&G electrical installation,16th edition regs and have passed my AM1. Is that enough to work as an electrician and if so who would be good people to approach?

No. you need level two, level three,18 edition regs, test and inspect, then you need to be in an apprentiship for at least two years and a sertain amount of your work verified by an GIB registered electrcian. You have to have compiled so many pieces of evidence.
Thats why i'm doing ITC Technitian level and level three, learning how to build computers. Garanteed a job after it upon getting your COSCO Qualification.

Changing from consent to lease to buy to let

Posted by admin On January - 15 - 2009

Hi

After moving in with my partner I kept on my previous flat and have let it out since last June. I applied for consent to lease from my lender which was approved. My mortgage stands at £32,000 and my flat was recently valued at £70,000. I wish to carry out work on my property and asked my lender for a loan in order to carry out this work which was refused on the grounds that I am letting it out. Would it be worthwhile to remortgage the flat as a buy to let in order to release some of the equity in it or should I just take out a normal bank loan to do this work. It seems rather silly given the equity in the property.

I am a newbie here so excuse my ignorance!

Thanks

hazle
