It’s ironic that he gave this speech on television- and that very invention was going to ensure that we DO NOT have an alert, knowlegeable citizenry!

Eisenhower was …
Eisenhower was supreme allied commander. He should have said no to this operation. If he was fired and his career ruined, so what, we’re talking big time war crimes here. Of course most of these people don’t get to these positions unless they have no conscience.
The last president we had that truly upheld the constitution - upheld natural rights - was Grover Cleveland.
Everyone in the chain of command for that decision, who did not stand up against it, is partly responsible for war crimes.

The Right regards …
The Right regards Reagan as a hero, and Eisenhower as a sellout.
The Left regards Kennedy as a hero, and Carter as a weak failure.
These are the blanket judgments that I suggest should be re-examined - the TRUTH is more complicated.
And while ALL the people of Eastern Europe were shamefully abandoned after WW2, surely Eisenhower cannot be held responsible for that DECISION, any more than a soldier driving a truck.
Or if he can, educate me. I really want to know.

Eisenhower and …
Eisenhower and Reagan at the very least do not belong in that group. Reagan, great on rhetoric, horrible in what he actually did.
Eisenhower, ultimately, was responsible for Operation Keelhaul, the murder of up to 2 million people.

We’ll soon see a re-examination of free market and conservative values.
It’s a pity that it has taken the pain of failure to force this upon us.
And we have yet to feel this pain…

Eisenhower signed …
Eisenhower signed off on political murders, his administration oversaw the CIA plans for the reconquest of Cuba (which had revolted against colonial exploitation in a nationalist popular movement) and it was his administration that started the Vietnam War after taking it over from France. See Stanley Sheinbaum. Let’s not forget the down side of old Ike…

The modern democratic party is

country is going down the toilet.

Eisenhower warned …
Eisenhower warned us about what he helped creat. Probably becuase now it appears the the complex and the generals are telling the president what to do. The president needs to fire all of our generals to set an example of whos really in charge. Otherwise it’s another seven years or more of failed war. In Vietnam they said there was light at the end of the tunnel. The generals are useing those phrases again. Which means were in trouble.

As someone who was …
As someone who was brought up as a Democrat and is now a registered Libertarian, I could not agree with you more. Democrats and Republicans are united in their retardedness, and while everyone is so busy hating one or the other, they both screw over the people of America. We have a Democrat-ruled congress… what good have they done? We have a Republican in the White House, what good has he done? And then we get to choose this year the lesser of two evils. Research Obama. He’s pro-Blackwater.

The Dems are …
The Dems are completely moderate by old standards, its the Repugs that have been taken over by idealogues. They own the media, they control the message, and dummies like you (pampas or pompous, perhaps?) fall for it every time. Think belligerant one, think for yourself! The Republican in the video above got it in 1961, yet you don’t get it in 2008.

“Study after study shows that those who are more educated vote democrat because liberalism is the result of intellect.” Wow that is one of the most pampas statements I have ever heard. Also, the modern democratic party does not represent liberalism, it has been hijacked by radical leftist ideologues.

Regions are so …
Regions are so difficult to define that I’m not sure whether you’re right or not. For example, is NC part of the South or part of the East Coast, or both? Where would Texas fall, in the South or the West? Define ‘the South’ and I’ll go do the math myself.
If nothing else, most of the centers of population are in the North east, namely the New England states and places like Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
