Well Ron Paul is probably the most conservative of the republicans in office, but I felt that republicans had gone down such a backward road that they wouldn’t realize that, and I know Texas is highly republican. I was pleasantly surprised they elected him.

I am in love with the gold standard Idea. But I think if we transition to the gold standard, it won’t be smooth. In fact, I think given the debt that we have, and the gold we own, it will collapse the economy. Look into american ets (public and private)- Then look at the dept- Scary stuff- Theres no easy answer, and the right answer will bring really tough times, and will take more than 8 years.
